Erie's 3,200 acre peninsula, nationally known as Presque Isle State Park, is a great place for bicycling, hiking, swimming, and picnicking.  It has beautiful beaches, sparkling streams, and rich foilage.  Its nature center with its fascinating exhibits provides tours and field trips.  The Tom Ridge Environmental Center near the Park's entrance is also a popular attraction.

Although well known for it's state park, Erie also abounds with many other activities, such as Waldameer Park and Water World, the Erie Zoo, and Presque Isle Downs and Casino.  The Erie community supports all facets of the arts with an inviting program of concerts, theater, lectures, and exhibits.  The Erie Festival of the Arts is just one example.  Erie is also home to the Erie Otters (hockey), Erie Seawolves (baseball), and Erie Bayhawks (basketball).
